Yes, we are talking about GOOGLE. What other source of traffic even comes close to comparing with it, after all?
Over the years, Google has grown in leaps and bounds, but through it all it has somehow managed to maintain its lion's share of search engine traffic. Google currently get over 61% of all internet searches.
Essentially, when the majority of the world want to locate something... anything... online, they still go to Google.com.
As a marketer, you simply can't afford to ignore Google. Sure, there are other sources of traffic but none of them really even hold a candle to what Google has to offer. It can provide more traffic than any other source.
And better still - it can provide highly targeted and specific traffic for you to convert into sales with ease!
Nowadays there are two main methods of gaining traffic from Google.
The first, as you probably well know, is via search engine results (yes, this does tie into SEO).
But the second is based on Google's very own contribution to the Pay Per Click advertising revolution: AdWords.
At the end of the day, what you want is to get your link to appear on the first page of Google's search results, right?
So what does it matter if it appears as part of the search results, or as part of the advertisements that are shown there too?
Granted, mastering the intricacies of PPC advertising is tough - but don't worry, we'll take you through all that you need to know from the ground up.
